Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a contract carriage shall apply to the State Transport Appellate Tribunal in Form 30 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the State Transport Appellate Tribunal shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
