Safe custody.—Every owner of premises used as a polling station shall keep every affidavit of a candidate to which these rules apply in a receptacle or place reserved for the purpose at the premises where the use of premises as a polling station is carried on, shall record in Form 6 the description of every affidavit of a candidate so kept and the date on which it was received, and shall furnish a copy of the record to the Returning Officer within sixty days of the close of each year.
