Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the foreigner shall apply to the passport authority in Form D for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the passport authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
