Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the banker issuing instruments shall apply to the Stamp Revenue Board in Form C for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Stamp Revenue Board shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and twenty days of the application.
