Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the proper officer in the custody of the Appraiser, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the proper officer; and where the Appraiser having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form GST EWB-01 within thirty days of the succession.
