Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Divisional Railway Manager in the custody of the Ticket Checking Officer, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Divisional Railway Manager; and where the Ticket Checking Officer having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form E within twenty-one days of the succession.
