Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the collector of a Panchayat tax shall apply to the District Collector in Form 2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the District Collector shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
