Safe custody.—Every aircraft maintenance engineer shall keep every log book to which these rules apply in a receptacle or place reserved for the purpose at the premises where the certification of aircraft maintenance is carried on, shall record in Form CA-5 the description of every log book so kept and the date on which it was received, and shall furnish a copy of the record to the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security within forty-five days of the close of each year.
