Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the retail vendor shall apply to the District Excise Officer in Form G for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees, and the District Excise Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
