Surrender of certificate.—Every owner of a mine within a forest who ceases to carry on mining within a forest area shall, within one hundred and twenty days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the Divisional Forest Officer in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form VIII of the manner in which every wild animal article held by him has been disposed of.
