Surrender of certificate.—Every common carrier who ceases to carry on the business of a common carrier by road shall, within thirty days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the State Transport Appellate Tribunal in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form 38 of the manner in which every register of vehicles held by him has been disposed of.
