Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the registering officer shall apply to the Stamp Revenue Board in Form A for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five rupees, and the Stamp Revenue Board shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and eighty days of the application.
