Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the landholder shall apply to the Revenue Divisional Officer in Form 5 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
