Rule 4, Commercial Taxes Department (Principal Deputy Commissioner) Recruitment Rules, 2026 [SC7-R8E]

Method of recruitment, age limit and other qualifications.—The method of recruitment to the post of Principal Deputy Commissioner in the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Gujarat shall be fifty per cent. by direct recruitment and fifty per cent. by promotion; the age limit for direct recruits shall be twenty-five years, relaxable for Government servants up to five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Government from time to time; and the essential qualification shall be a Bachelor's degree from a recognised University with three years' experience in the relevant field.
