Correction of entries.—The Assessing Officer may, on an application made in Form 26AS by any accountant or of its own motion, correct any clerical or arithmetical error in the register or in a certificate of registration, after giving notice of not less than one hundred and twenty days to any person likely to be affected by the correction.
