Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the lessor of immovable property shall apply to the Chief Controlling Revenue Authority in Form H for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees, and the Chief Controlling Revenue Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
