Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the occupier shall apply to the Competent Authority in Form 2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Competent Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and eighty days of the application.
