Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the distributor shall apply to the Designated Officer in Form G for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Designated Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
