Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the occupant of public premises shall apply to the Competent Authority in Form 8 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Competent Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
