Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the nominee director shall apply to the Serious Fraud Investigation Office in Form DIR-12 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees, and the Serious Fraud Investigation Office shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and twenty days of the application.
