Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the person removing earth from Government land shall apply to the Tahsildar in Form 7 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees, and the Tahsildar shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within seven days of the application.
