Surrender of certificate.—Every owner of a lift irrigation scheme who ceases to carry on the operation of a lift irrigation scheme shall, within fifteen days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the River Basin Authority in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form A of the manner in which every reservoir held by him has been disposed of.
