Surrender of certificate.—Every lessee of Government land who ceases to carry on the holding of Government land on lease shall, within one hundred and twenty days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the Collector in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form 12 of the manner in which every record of rights held by him has been disposed of.
