Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the holder of a Government bond shall apply to the Finance Commission in Form GFR 12-A for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Finance Commission shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
