Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the registering officer shall apply to the State Government in Form F for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees, and the State Government shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within seven days of the application.
