Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a well on Government land shall apply to the Tahsildar in Form 8 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Tahsildar shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
