Application for registration.—Every person presenting a document for registration carrying on the presentation of documents for registration shall make an application for registration to the Sub-Registrar in Form 7, within forty-five days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees and a statement of every possession certificate held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for one hundred and eighty days from that date.
