Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a building in a village shall apply to the District Panchayat in Form 7 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees, and the District Panchayat shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
