Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the conductor of a stage carriage shall apply to the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal in Form 1 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
