Definitions.—In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Act" means the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1962 (Karnataka Act 8 of 1962); (b) "platform aggregator" means a person carrying on the engagement of gig workers; (c) "wage slip" means a wage slip received, held or disposed of by a platform aggregator in the course of the engagement of gig workers; (d) "Form VIII" means the form so numbered in the Schedule; (e) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
