Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a fishing vessel shall apply to the Mercantile Marine Department in Form 6 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees, and the Mercantile Marine Department shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
