Regulation 2, IRDAI (Registration of Insurance intermediaries) Regulations, 2007 [SB7-Z4N]

Definitions.—In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Act" means the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 1999 (41 of 1999); (b) "insurance intermediary" means a person carrying on the business of an insurance intermediary; (c) "nomination" means a nomination received, held or disposed of by a insurance intermediary in the course of the business of an insurance intermediary; (d) "Form IRDA-6" means the form so numbered in the Schedule; (e) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
