Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of premises used as a polling station shall apply to the District Election Officer in Form 12 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the District Election Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ten days of the application.
