Safe custody.—Every owner of land within a cantonment shall keep every defence work to which these rules apply in a receptacle or place reserved for the purpose at the premises where the construction of buildings in a cantonment is carried on, shall record in Form E the description of every defence work so kept and the date on which it was received, and shall furnish a copy of the record to the Director-General within sixty days of the close of each year.
