Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the operator of a tourist vehicle shall apply to the Director General in Form VIII for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Director General shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
