Clause 2, Essential Commodities (Licence Control) Order, 2026 [SB4-DH0]

Definitions.—In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Act" means the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955); (b) "food business operator" means a person carrying on the carrying on of a food business; (c) "consignment of food" means a consignment of food received, held or disposed of by a food business operator in the course of the carrying on of a food business; (d) "Form G" means the form so numbered in the Schedule; (e) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
