Clause 2, Bihar Tenancy (Register of holdings Control) Order, 2026 [SB4-1GQ]

Definitions.—In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Act" means the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885 (Bihar Act 8 of 1885); (b) "lessee of Government land" means a person carrying on the holding of Government land on lease; (c) "land revenue receipt" means a land revenue receipt received, held or disposed of by a lessee of Government land in the course of the holding of Government land on lease; (d) "Form 12" means the form so numbered in the Schedule; (e) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
