Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the licensed marriage hall shall apply to the Registrar of Marriages in Form V for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Registrar of Marriages shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and twenty days of the application.
