Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the sponsor of a visa applicant shall apply to the Immigration Officer in Form D for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand five hundred rupees, and the Immigration Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
