Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the implementing agency shall apply to the Controller General of Accounts in Form GFR 22 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Controller General of Accounts shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
