Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the contractor engaged by a Panchayat shall apply to the Block Development Officer in Form 5 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees, and the Block Development Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
