Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Divisional Forest Officer in the custody of the Forest Officer, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Divisional Forest Officer; and where the Forest Officer having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form VII within one hundred and eighty days of the succession.
