Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the importer shall apply to the Authorised Officer in Form ANF-2A for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees, and the Authorised Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
