Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the transporter shall apply to the Excise Commissioner in Form G for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees, and the Excise Commissioner shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
