Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Electoral Registration Officer in the custody of the Assistant Returning Officer, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Electoral Registration Officer; and where the Assistant Returning Officer having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form 7 within fourteen days of the succession.
