Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the certifying authority shall apply to the Certifying Authority in Form C for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees, and the Certifying Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
