Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Regional Transport Authority in the custody of the Assistant Regional Transport Officer, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Regional Transport Authority; and where the Assistant Regional Transport Officer having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form 2 within fourteen days of the succession.
