Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the manufacturer of motor vehicles shall apply to the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal in Form 30 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
