Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Controller General in the custody of the Deputy Director of Mines, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Controller General; and where the Deputy Director of Mines having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form B within three hundred and sixty-five days of the succession.
