Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the stevedore shall apply to the Registrar of Ships in Form 2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Registrar of Ships shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
